Grizzly or Black Bear?
Can you tell the difference?
The video above was filmed in NW
Montana on June 4, 2007. A small bear took up residence in a
neighbor's backyard. It is difficult to tell what type of
bear this is; a grizzly or a black bear. Also, it is hard to
determine if this is a cub waiting on mom to return or a bear
that has been pushed from the den to make his way in the world
(bear tough love). What do you think?

Bear Frightened Of Cat
Jack the cat chases black bear up tree.
WEST MILFORD, N.J. - A black bear picked the wrong
yard for a jaunt, running into a territorial tabby who ran the furry
beast up a tree — twice. Jack, a 15-pound orange and white
cat, keeps a close vigil on his property, often chasing small
animals, but his owners and neighbors say his latest escapade was
surprising.

Only 1 grizzly encounter this spring. State wildlife
officials say the lone report of a conflict between a human and
a bear this spring involved a Whitefish woman who apparently
surprised a grizzly west of Augusta. The woman got away with a
torn shirt.
